Map the stages before you build another delivery board
A polished board on messy pipeline events only accelerates the wrong debate.
Teams under ship pressure often skip stage naming and jump to a new board. Weeks later, two squads argue over different times for the same deploy because three events still describe one promotion.
Prefer decision verbs over tool names. Keep environment out of the event name and in a property. Write allowed identifiers the same day the stage is born—or the stage becomes a free-form dump.
In Pipeline Signal Map we spend early days on the decision map, not on chart cosmetics. Boards get sharper only after the catalogue stops arguing with itself.
